2012 Varsity Captains Announced
Senior Outside Hitter Lindsay Tanner (#12), Senior Setter Kelly Merkle (#1), and Senior DS Shanna Gitre (#15) have been selected to lead this year's Varsity Team
Huron Valley Athletics 1st Annual Comedy Show & Live Auction
Friday, June 15th from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm at 59 West in Highland
This adult only event includes: appetizers, prime rib/chicken dinner, beverages with cash bar, silent and live auction, door prizes, raffle drawings. Proceeds will benefit Huron Valley Athletics by maintaining the current pay to participate fees, transportation costs, assuring that our athletes are supported by an athletic trainer, preserving middle school and sub-varsity programming.
The comedy event will include Zach Martina, Lakeland Alumnus (Opener), Tom McCarthy (Featured Act) and Vince Averill, Milford Alumnus
(Headliner). Performing during the dinner hour will be local band Fifth and Main. The Stablein boys, are Fifth & Main known for their tight acoustic harmonies. Also singing, Kari Holmes… her genre of music is Pop/Country but her voice crosses over into Rock and Blues. Lakeland Athletic Director, Greg Michaels and Milford Athletic Director, Chris Ceresa will assist in the Live Auction festivities.
Tickets for the event can be purchased through the Athletic Department. Tickets are $55 and go on sale May 7th. Please contact Angie Jantz,

2012 Lakeland HS Summer Volleyball Camp
Come on out and enjoy three days of instruction on the core fundamentals of volleyball which include passing, serving, attacking, serving, blocking and ball control.
The camp is instructed by the Lakeland Eagles Volleyball coaching staff, Seniors and Lakeland Eagle Volleyball Alumni which includes current college players.
Date: July 17th-18th-19th
Time: 8:30am-11:00am (incoming 4th-7th graders)
11:30am - 2:00pm (incoming 8th-10th graders)
Place: Lakeland High School Gymnasium
Cost: $85 (includes Camp T-Shirt)
Course: 2515 -- incoming 4th-7th graders
2516 --- incoming 8th-10th graders

Ciara Schultz signs her letter of intent
Congrats to Ciara Schultz for choosing to play volleyball and attend Oakland University in the fall of 2012. Ciara has an integral part of our program's success as she was a 3 year Varsity starter and 2 time All State player. Congrats to Ciara and her family!!
Volleyball Program raises $2000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for a Cure
Congratulations to all players and parents for their extremely hard work to raise $2000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for a cure! The players sold suckers and raised $900 while the parents/players assembled gift baskets to raffle off at our October 4th match against Waterford Mott which raised $1100. We are extremely proud of everyone for their hard work for such a great cause! GO BIG BLUE
All 3 levels off to a great start!
The 2011 season is proving to be another great one for the Eagle Volleyball program. All 3 levels are undefeated at 5-0 in KLAA North Division play. The second round of conference play begins next week and hopefully goes as well as Round 1! Keep up the good work Eagles!

All 3 teams participate in Team Bonding!
The Varsity, JV and Freshman teams along with their coaches traveled to Kalahari Resort in Sandusky this past weekend in order to spend some quality time bonding. The teams participated in swimming and fun in water park, high ropes course, scavenger hunt, zip line and a trip to the zoo in order to foster trust, communication and teamwork. The players had a lot of fun and it was a valuable experience for the teams. GO BIG BLUE!
